HOW Fenugreek WORKS
Fenugreek seeds contain about 50% dietary fibre and pectin which affect gastrointestinal transit to slow glucose absorption. About 80% of the total content of free amino acids in the seeds is 4-hydroxyisoleucine, which appears to directly stimulate insulin and regulate hunger. Research suggests that Fenugreek saponins might increase testosterone levels by increasing the activity of enzymes involved in testosterone production. In women, Fenugreek extract increases levels of estradiol, luteinizing hormone (LH), and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) to promote normal menstruation.
