HOW Iron WORKS
Most of the iron in the body is found in the hemoglobin of red blood cells and in the myoglobin of muscle cells where it is required for oxygen and carbon dioxide transport. Iron is also found in most enzymes involved in energy production. Additionally, Iron is an essential cofactor in the synthesis of neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin.
