HOW Selenium WORKS
Selenium is required for testosterone biosynthesis and the formation and development of sperm. Low Selenium levels have been linked to decreased male fertility. Low selenium levels also appear to be associated with first trimester or recurrent miscarriages, suggesting Selenium possibly prevents early pregnancy loss. Selenium also plays a major role in the synthesis and metabolism of thyroid hormones, as the thyroid gland has a higher concentration of Selenium than any other organ in the body.
