HOW Vitamin K2 WORKS
Vitamin K is a coenzyme for the synthesis of several blood clotting factors and proteins in the liver. Vitamin K2 is also thought to restore mitochondrial (energy production) function in cardiac muscle, increasing production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP or cellular energy) and improving muscle function. This might improve cardiac output during exercise and in people with heart failure. Vitamin K is a cofactor for production of bone proteins.
